Dear Soldier,

Don't focus on the color of my skin
don’t judge me by the country I’m in
and don’t use me for the reason you sin
look at what we have in comparison

Two eyes, that I only use to see
One mouth, I only use it to breath
and my hands I use that to write this speech
cause if its verbal nobody will listen to me

My heart pounding me a melody
and if i die no longer will u hear it beat
all you’ll hear is the pounding of your feet
and the slamming of the door as you leave
